About Me
Sarit Catz began her comedy career creating, writing and producing three comedy services for ABC Radio Networks and other syndicated services. Leaving radio, Sarit became a TV writer/producer with credits including Coach, Full House, Soul Man, Talk To Me, Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and others. She created two original series, Girls’ Night for UPN and Click for Big Ticket Television, and has recently written and executive produced the independent television pilot, What She’s Having. In features, Sarit wrote and sold options on two screenplays, currently being marketing to studios by producers. She has won three Writers’ Guild of America Awards and was named a semi-finalist in the ScriptapaloozaTV screenwriting contest. Sarit teaches sitcom writing at Columbia University, the People's Improv Theater in NYC and at The Learning Annex. As a stand-up comic, Sarit plays top comedy clubs including The Comic Strip, Stand-Up New York, Gotham Comedy Club, The Improv and many others. She performs in and produces the ongoing show Girls Gone Funny, has won Clash of the Comics three times and was a semi-finalist in The Great Canadian Laugh-Off.
